Conjoined twins have separation surgery

Conjoined twins Anastasia and Tatiana Dogaru are undergoing a risky surgery today at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Doctors are going to work all day and into the night to perform the miracle of separating the twins.

It will take three more surgeries over the next six months to separate the twins.

The procedure at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is a first for Cleveland and one of only a few such attempts in the world.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the twins and their families on this stressful and hopeful day.
