Last night, the San Antonio Spurs shut us out in game four with 83 to 82.
It was a very close game and I thought we had this one right up until the very end. What a shame it was to see that we didn’t get the opportunity to win at least one game.
San Antonio was denied all of the cheering and screaming fans, as well, by not playing on their home turf. After the loss, the only energy in the Q was from the Spurs themselves.
Lebron and company, we know you gave it your all. Keep your heads up!

Per WDTN:
Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson is proposing an adult-entertainment district for the city.
Developer Scott Wolstein is negotiating with property owners to buy land in a Cleveland area known as the Flats — including the building that houses the Hustler Club.
It’s interesting that the mayor thinks we need an adult entertainment district. I don’t have a problem with this at all, but that’s my opinion.
The city sees his project as vital to upgrade an area considered blighted.
Wikipedia defines blight as:
“a condition of property or the uses of property in parts of a city, town, or neighborhood that are detrimental to the physical, social, and/or economic well-being of a community. It can include abandoned buildings or those severely neglected by their owners, vacant lots full of rubble and waste, or dangerous and/or illegal uses such as crack houses.”
So would be a safe assumption that the mayor thinks the Flats have crack houses or is full of dangerous waste?

The Cleveland Cavaliers were shut down tonight by the San Antonio Spurs in a very close game, 75-72. We are now 0-3 in the NBA finals, with the next game on Thursday night.
Throughout the game, we kept missing the three-pointers and this contributed to the loss of the game tonight.
I don’t know too much about sports in general, but I was sitting on the edge of my seat for most of the game.
Lebron should have gotten that foul at the end, though.
We’re going to have to be on fire Thursday night to pull this one off. It would be a shame to get to the finals and lose it all 4-0.
Go Cavs, you can do it!

I only watched part of the game as it was really painful in the first half of the game to see the Cavs losing by twenty point leads, to the Spurs. I had to turn it off, it was depressing to see us get that far and lose another one.
LeBron was benched early for fouling and it was all downhill from there. I’m glad that we only lost by 11 points now, but all of us Cleveland fans will be at the Q for Tuesday’s game, where we’ll have the home court advantage.
Per Cleveland.com:
On a Spurs miss, the Cavs took possession, but James turned the ball over on an errant pass. It proved critical. Manu Ginobili then was fouled by Gibson on a 3-point shot. Ginobili made the basket and the free throw for a 12-point Cavs deficit with 2:24 left.
The Cavs outscored the Spurs, 30-14, in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough.
The Cavs, down, 58-33, at the half, fell short in their attempt to rally for the biggest comeback from a halftime deficit in NBA Finals history.
They fell behind early after James was whistled for two fouls and sent to the bench in the first three minutes.
Come on Cavs, you got to step up your game here. You can do it!

My oldest son, Jeffrey, broke his arm on Thursday night after riding to a local store by his dad’s house, on the way back from getting some ice cream. He had to have surgery that night, so sleep was pretty scarce.
He broke his right arm in three places and scraped his face, forehead, and got his knee pretty badly.
He was taken via ambulance to Saint John’s WestShore hospital, where their wonderful team of doctors and nurses put humpty dumpty back together again. He was released yesterday afternoon and has been doing better ever since.
Thanks to the hospital and to the neighbors who called 911.

In San Antonio, it’s just about go-time as the Star Spangled Banner is sung in the arena. Fans hold their applause and cheers as the two teams, the Spurs, and the Cavs, get ready to go head to head for game two.
Who will make the best out of seven? Only time will tell.
So in the meantime…
GO CAVS!!!!
Stay tuned for more updates.

I used this method when I went apartment hunting last year. It basically works for anyone looking to rent an apartment anywhere. This handy little spreadsheet will help you remember all of the things you need to consider when looking for an new place.
1. Of course, the address
2. How many bedrooms?
3. How many bathrooms?
4. Cost per month
5. Appliances included?
6. Pets allowed?
7. Storage area? Attic/basement
8. Phone number of who to call to look at the place
9. Contact person’s name
10. Upstairs or Down?
11. Utilities that they include?
12. Is there parking/garage/or on the street?

Conjoined twins Anastasia and Tatiana Dogaru are undergoing a risky surgery today at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Doctors are going to work all day and into the night to perform the miracle of separating the twins.
It will take three more surgeries over the next six months to separate the twins.
The procedure at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is a first for Cleveland and one of only a few such attempts in the world.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the twins and their families on this stressful and hopeful day.

This is just too funny not to share, so I hope you enjoy this story.
Anthony Thomas, 38, of Westlake, phoned the police in a frenzy to tell them that he was paranoid that someone was out to kill him. What’s funny is that all it was, was paranoia. As it turns out, this goofball was high on marijuana brownies.
A disheveled Anthony Thomas, 38, of Bradley Road jumped out his second-floor window in a panic and knocked on a neighbor’s door on Macon Court. He also called 9-1-1 and eventually flagged down passing police officers, said Capt. Guy Turner.
What a dork.

It’s Monday morning and you’re probably already back to work from the weekend. Yay, the Cavs won against the Pistons. Boo, you have to be at work.
Here, I’ll give you some ways to hack being back to work today:
- Make a list - Write out all of the things that you need to accomplish today and cross them off as you go. You will get a sense of accomplishment when you’re all done.
- Try to concentrate - Focusing on what you have to do today will make it easier to get through the day. Stay on target and get the hard tasks out of the way first. This way, when you get to the easy stuff, it’s a piece of cake.
- Time management - Set times that you will check your voicemail and emails. This will unclutter times for you to be productive throughout the day. Always respond quickly to correspondence and voicemails, otherwise these will weigh you down for the day, as well.
- Take a break - I know certain people where I work seem to refuse to want to take a break or go on lunch. Trust me, you need this unwinding time. Take a walk outside, go for a drive, do something that will get your mind off of the rest of the day ahead.
- Laugh it off - If coworkers or customers get you down or say something that rains on your parade, laugh it off. This is the best thing you can do in these situations. Don’t take it all personally, that would definitely ruin your day.
- Make conversation - Remember you’re not at work all by yourself. What makes the day go by faster than making casual conversation with coworkers or sending them a quick email to say hi. The truth is, no one really likes Mondays. The best thing we can all do is get over it together.
Tomorrow is another day!

Parts of the film were filmed here in good ol’ Cleveland. Yep, that’s right, some of the stunts were filmed on our very own Euclid avenue.
Here’s a screenshot:
Now, that’s just one reason why you should see the movie. Let me give you another:
Overall, Spiderman 3 is a really good movie. We have a couple of new villains, Venom and Sandman, added to the fray. The movie centers around this black spidey suit that turns our good old American Hero into a more eccentric version of himself. He gets cocky, confident, and somewhat sarcastic.
Once he realizes that he doesn’t want to be that person, he struggles to remove the suit, to which the black goo falls on someone else, Eddie Brock (played by Topher Grace).
To see the film in all of it’s glory, I’d highly recommend watching it at the theaters. Go to the Cinemark and have a look. What else are you going to do on a rainy Sunday?

In a moment in Cleveland history, the Cleveland Cavaliers go to the finals. They took the Detroit Pistons out of the running by scoring 98 to 82.
It was a nice blowout there. Go Cavs!
According to NBA.com:
Daniel Gibson scored a career-high 31, LeBron James had 20 and 13 boards, and the Cavs rolled to a 98-82 win over Detroit and onto their first NBA Finals visit.
I can still hear the screaming fans all around as the Cavs won.

They’re everywhere and they’re writing tickets, left and right. If you’re driving on I-90 or I-480, try not to put the pedal to the metal. Otherwise you’ll end up driving away with a ticket. I first noticed the state troopers all spanned out across both 480 and 90, just recently. Some had already caught some speeders and others waiting on their prey.
Via NewsNet5:
The Ohio State Highway Patrol hopes that more than 2,700 speeding tickets issued in recent weeks sent a strong message to drivers to slow down.
Troopers will end a Cleveland-area crackdown Friday night after spending five weeks policing parts of Interstates 480 and 90.
The program was an attempt to decrease the number of deaths on Cuyahoga County roadways, where more accidents occur than in any other part of the state.
During the crackdown, troopers stopped more than 3,400 drivers and issued nearly 700 warnings.
That ought to bring in some serious revenue, I’m sure the state will be happy with that. It’s a good thing that the crackdown is ending, but I’m sure the speeding won’t.

Cleveland Heights Police Officer Jason West was gunned down by Timothy Halton, Jr, May 25, 2007. The suspect has claimed that he always wanted to kill a police officer. The disturbance started over a woman and ended in the death of this brave officer, just after he stepped out of his cruiser.
Halton, 27, of South Euclid, is in Cuyahoga County Jail awaiting his arraignment Wednesday.
He has a long history of mental illness and has been diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic.
Per Cleveland.com, the prosecution is looking for the death penalty:
Ohio law virtually mandates a death-penalty charge when an aggravated-murder victim is an
officer killed on duty. West, 31, had pulled up to the driveway of an Altamont Avenue
home in response to a reported street brawl and had just stepped out of his cruiser when
he was shot, police and witnesses said. He died shortly afterward.
This is a terrible shame and you can share your condolescences with the family here. Jason West served with the Cleveland Heights Police Department for seven years and is survived by his parents and sister.
